Ingredients
Chicken Balls
- 600 g Chicken Breast Cubed
- 2 spring onions (shallots)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Fresh Ginger (size of a garlic clove), you can Omit Ginger if you dislike it
- 1 leaf Kaffir lime leaf
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon plain flour
Chicken Broth
- 3 cloves garlic
- 40 g fresh ginger, (you can Omit Ginger if you dislike it)
- 3 Anise Star
- 2 tablespoons Chicken Stock Paste (thermomix recipe), or chicken stock preference
- 1150 g water
Rice
- 400 g basamati rice, washed

- Mill Garlic, Ginger (if using Ginger) & Lime Leaf for 5 sec Speed 9
Add Chicken "Closed lid" (closed lid position) Pulse 3 or 4 times
Add Soy Sauce & Plain Flour Speed 5 on Reverse for 5 sec
Turn out & with wet hands make golf ball size chicken balls
Place on Varoma dish & tray (place to a side) - Mill Garlic & Ginger (if using Ginger) for 5 sec Speed 9
Add Chicken Stock Paste, Star Anise & Water In TM bowl
Place basket with washed Rice in TM bowl
Place Varoma dish on top with Chicken Balls cook on Varoma setting 14 mins
Remove only the Rice Basket with cooked Rice & place to a side
Return Varoma Dish on TM bowl (leave broth in TM bowl)
Cook Chicken Balls on Varoma setting for a further 7 mins
Chicken Balls
Chicken Broth & Rice
Tip
Place Rice in serving bowls.
Add Chicken Balls on top of Rice.
Strain broth over Rice & Chicken Balls.
Garnish with Parsley.

The house smelt beautiful while this was cooking. Beautiful flavours...I might even try this with glass noodles or udon noodles next time.
