Should I count out the red lentils individually, or is somewhere close to 200 good enough?
I ADDED BEANS AND BROCOLLI TOO, AT THE END WITH THE WATER - DELICIOUS
I found this to be pretty good.
I strained the cooked lentils, and reserved the liquid. When adding the 100gm of water at the end, I actually used the reserved liquid. I'd use this as a side dish next time, with perhaps a butter chicken.
Looking at this recipe, I would say that the cooked lentils should be drained before going back into the jug! 100g of water should not make this too watery? I would give that a try. If not enough liquid I would add a little coconut milk. It's only a suggestion. Anne
I actually found this quite tastless and watery. I like mine a bit thicker and found this to be more of a soup. Might have to convert my conventional recipe over.
This is a wonderful dish served with other curries, example butter chicken curry from the Fast and easy Curry book.
