Ingredients

Chicken pie

  • 1 onion
  • 2 Rashers of Bacon
  • 20 grams olive oil
  • 200 grams sliced mushrooms
  • 80 grams Butter
  • 50 grams plain flour
  • 1 Cup of liquid chicken stock
  • salt & pepper
  • 500 grams Cooked Chicken (shredded)
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry

Recipe's preparation

    Chicken pie
  1. Place onion & bacon in TM bowl, chop speed 4, 4 secs. 


    Add 20g olive oil, 2mins, 100deg, speed 2. 


    Add mushrooms, 3mins, 100deg, speed 2. 


    Set aside Into another bowl. 


    Dont wash the TM bowl. Add butter, plain flour & chicken stock. 2mins, 100deg, speed 3. 


    Add chicken, bacon & onion mixture, salt & pepper to taste. 30sec, reverse, speed 2. 


    Pour into Pie dish & top with pastry. 


    Bake in oven, 200deg, 20 mins. 

Tip

To shred cooked chicken, place chicken into TM bowl, 4sec, reverse, speed 4.

    really great! I did half cream half stock as someone suggested. I also added two cloves of garlic with the onion.

    I put pastry on the bottom as well as top and cooked for around 30-35 mins at 200 degrees

    Love this pie! Thank you for sharing. Made a few variations due to personal preference. I highly recommend adding in cream or coconut milk for half of your stock liquid, so by that I mean - 125ml cream or coconut milk & 125ml water. Creates a creamy, dreamy base for the filling that you’ll absolutely adore x

    hanclark153: better late than never. I just add it in at the normal step where the chicken is added just increase the cooking time. tomight i am trying it with a bbq chook and subbing mushrooms for something else as am serving it to a few kids who dont like mushrooms.

    We love this pie. We also add the chicken raw and cook on speed 1 for 20 minutes reverse.
