Jean's Rice Pilaf

  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 15 g fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 70 g Cashews
  • 95 g dried apricots, diced
  • 95 g sultanas
  • 293 g basmati rice, rinsed
  • 1250 g hot water
  • 3-4 tsp chicken stock paste

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. add onion, ginger and garlic
  2. chop for 7 seconds on speed 7
  3. add in butter and all spices
  4. sautee 3 minutes varoma speed 1
  5. add apricots, sultanas and cashews and stir with spatular
  6. insert butterfly whisk
    add water and stock paste
  7. add rice cook 18minutes at 100°C Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1
  8. prolong cooking time until rice is cooked. stand for 5 minutes before serving
